What is ETRYUM?
ETRYUM is a multidisciplinary centre in La Nucía that connects integrative medicine, clinical psychoneuroimmunology, longevity, sports medicine and advanced rehabilitation around one person.
How do I request a first assessment?
Through the contact form on the website, by phone on +34 965 11 82 86 or +34 621 172 479, or by WhatsApp. The team will get in touch to understand the reason for your visit and arrange the right appointment.
Where is ETRYUM located and how do I get there?
Inside Ciudad Deportiva Camilo Cano, La Nucía, Alicante, on the Costa Blanca in Spain. Alicante–Elche Airport (ALC) is about 50 minutes away, Benidorm about 15 minutes, Altea and Albir about 15 minutes, and Valencia Airport (VLC) about 1 hour 45 minutes.
What happens at a first assessment?
It begins with relevant history and questionnaires completed in advance, followed by an initial assessment of about 60 minutes. The first medical consultation includes a focused examination, a resting ECG, body composition by bioimpedance and vital signs. Findings, priorities and next steps are then interpreted and coordinated according to the reason for your visit.
Which languages are consultations held in?
Medical consultations are held in Spanish and English, and with Dr Welter also in German. The nursing and patient care team can also support you in German, Norwegian, Russian, Polish, French and Arabic. For French and Arabic, your contact is Nawal El Klai. Each professional’s languages are listed on their profile.
Who is ETRYUM for?
Elite and competitive athletes, active individuals who want to keep their physical capacity, executives and entrepreneurs with demanding lives, people actively investing in longevity, and international patients looking for multidisciplinary care in a Mediterranean environment.
Can I come only for physiotherapy?
Yes. You do not need to start with a medical consultation: you can come directly for physiotherapy or for the specialty you need. The patient care team will help you choose the right appointment.
Do you work with health insurers?
Not at the moment. Care at ETRYUM is private.
How long does the first assessment take?
The initial assessment takes about 60 minutes. The relevant history and questionnaires are completed before you come.
What should I prepare or bring?
It helps to complete the history and questionnaires beforehand, and to bring any recent tests, reports or results that may help the assessment, together with a list of your current medication and supplements.
What does the first medical consultation include?
Medical history and assessment, a review of your reports and blood tests, a focused medical examination, a resting electrocardiogram, body composition by bioimpedance and vital signs. The results are then brought together, further tests are requested only if needed, and the next steps are defined.
What happens after the assessment?
The findings are interpreted, priorities are set and the next steps are defined. Where appropriate, the clinicians involved coordinate around the same plan.
What is a first PNI or physiotherapy session like?
It is shaped by the discipline. In psychoneuroimmunology, Cristóbal Becerril reviews your history, medication and supplements, habits, nutrition, sleep, stress, digestion and recovery, and sets out what to prioritise. In physiotherapy, Samuel Rubio starts with a functional assessment: understanding what limits your movement before planning treatment. If anything needs a medical assessment, it is coordinated with the team’s physician.
Can I send medical information through the form?
No. The form is only for getting in touch and arranging the appointment. Clinical information is collected later, through the appropriate channels.
Do you offer physiotherapy in La Nucía?
Yes. Samuel Rubio, physiotherapist and osteopath, sees patients at ETRYUM, in Ciudad Deportiva Camilo Cano, La Nucía. Physiotherapy is part of a recovery plan that starts with a functional assessment and, when needed, is coordinated with medicine, orthopaedics or PNI.
Is this assessment only for athletes?
No. It is for people with pain or limitations in daily life, post-operative recoveries, people who want to return to exercise and athletes at any level.
What happens during the functional assessment?
Samuel reviews the reason for your visit, relevant history, current limitations and the goal you want to return to. He then assesses movement and function before proposing the next steps, where appropriate.
Can I come after surgery?
Yes, while respecting the guidance and timescales set by your medical team. Bring any reports and instructions you have so they can inform the assessment.
Is MAGNETOLITH® used in every case?
No. It is a complementary resource and is proposed only when Samuel considers it may be appropriate within the recovery plan.
Can recovery be coordinated with PNI or medicine?
Yes. When the problem cannot be resolved through physiotherapy alone, integrative medicine, PNI or other areas join in at the moment they are needed.
Can I send medical reports through this form?
No. The form is only for requesting contact and arranging the assessment. Clinical documents are collected later through the appropriate channels.
Does integrative medicine replace my doctor or specialist?
No. It can help organise the case, complete an assessment and coordinate disciplines. Specific diagnosis and treatment always belong to the appropriate licensed professional.
Do I need tests before the consultation?
No. Bring any recent reports and results you already have. Additional testing is considered only after deciding whether it can change a clinical decision.
Are supplements recommended to everyone?
No. Supplementation is not automatic or central to the approach. It is considered only when individually indicated, with a safety review and full account of medication.
Can I attend without a diagnosis?
Yes. You can come with symptoms, a complex history or a preventive goal. The initial assessment will help identify the most appropriate investigation or professional.
How does the team coordinate?
With your consent, relevant professionals share the information they need, agree priorities and avoid duplicated advice or isolated treatment.
At what age does a longevity assessment make sense?
There is no single age. It may help when you want a baseline, have a family history, notice changes in capacity or want clearer direction for prevention.
Is this a conventional health check?
It includes medical assessment, but it is not about accumulating tests. It starts with a question and selects the examination and data that may support a useful decision.
Do I need wearables or advanced testing?
Not necessarily. Devices and biomarkers are included only when reliable, appropriate to the case and capable of changing follow-up or a clinical decision.
Is longevity medicine about anti-ageing treatments?
No. ETRYUM focuses on prevention, risk, function and long-term capacity. It does not promise to reverse ageing or use the term as a guarantee of results.
How often is the plan reviewed?
That depends on your baseline and goals. Follow-up is scheduled to assess clinically relevant change, not to repeat measurements without a clear purpose.
Do I need an MRI before booking?
No. Bring any imaging and reports you already have. After examination, the specialist will decide whether further imaging may change diagnosis or treatment.
Does a consultation mean I will need surgery?
No. Many injuries are managed conservatively. Surgery is considered only when it may offer a reasonable benefit compared with other options. If it is indicated, it takes place in a hospital and recovery continues at ETRYUM.
Is care coordinated with physiotherapy?
Yes, when relevant. Orthopaedics and physiotherapy can share goals, load limits and progression criteria to avoid conflicting advice.
Do you only see athletes?
No. Assessment also supports people with pain, joint degeneration, everyday limitations, work-related injuries or recovery after surgery.
What should I do if the injury is urgent?
ETRYUM is not an emergency service. For severe trauma, deformity, sudden loss of strength or sensation, uncontrolled pain or circulatory compromise, seek emergency care.
Do I need a diagnosis to request a PNI assessment?
No. You may attend because of a group of symptoms, difficulty recovering or a preventive goal. The first assessment organises the information and identifies the appropriate next step.
What should I bring to the first consultation?
Any recent reports, blood tests or investigations you already have, plus an up-to-date list of medication and supplements. You do not need new tests before speaking to the team.
Does PNI replace a medical consultation?
No. PNI works on habits and modifiable factors within its scope. Diagnosis, prescribing and medical treatment remain the responsibility of a physician and are coordinated when appropriate.
Does everyone receive the same protocol?
No. The areas, intensity and duration are decided after assessment and adapted to response, adherence and goals.
Can it support athletes or high-demand professionals?
Yes. It can assess sleep, habits, load, stress and recovery, coordinating with sports medicine or physiotherapy when needed.
What does the company receive, and what does the person receive?
The person receives their full assessment and their plan. The company receives only an aggregated, anonymous report, and only if this was agreed beforehand and the group is large enough for no one to be identifiable.
How much time has to be set aside?
The assessment is organised as a single coordinated day, planned in advance according to each person's needs and the team's availability.
Do you need a health problem to come?
No. Most people who come feel well and want to know their starting point, their real risk and what is worth protecting over the coming years.
Is measuring cortisol useful?
A single cortisol says little about an executive's real risk: it varies through the day and, in leaders with control, tends to be lower rather than higher. We prefer to measure what can change a decision.
