Booking an appointment somewhere new always raises questions.

Who should I see? What do I bring? How long will it take? Will they understand me if my Spanish isn’t good? These are the questions I hear every day on the phone and on WhatsApp. That is why I want to walk you, step by step, through your first visit to ETRYUM.

Before you come

  1. 01

    First contact

You write to us through the website form or on WhatsApp, or you call us. We briefly ask what is worrying you so we can point you to the right professional.

  2. 02

    The appointment

Together we find the day and time that suit you best, and we confirm everything in writing.

  3. 03

    Your history in advance

Before the visit we send you the history form and the questionnaires that apply to you. Filling them in calmly at home lets us prepare your consultation ahead of time.

  4. 04

    Reports and documents

If you have blood tests, recent reports or a list of the medication you take, you can send them to us beforehand so the doctor can study them in advance, or bring them with you on the day.

  5. 05

    Getting here and a reminder

We are inside the Camilo Cano Sports City in La Nucía. The day before your appointment I will send you a reminder with the exact location and directions for parking and finding us easily.

A tip: the website form is only for getting in touch and arranging the appointment. We collect medical information later, through the proper channels, to protect your privacy.

On the day

When you arrive, we welcome you at reception, with no rush. If you need anything (a glass of water, a moment to finish a questionnaire, a last-minute question), that is what we are there for.

The initial assessment takes roughly 60 minutes. It is not a quick appointment, and that is deliberate: the professional needs time to listen to your story, review what you bring, examine you and understand what really matters to you.

Taking the time we need in the first consultation lets us get to know you properly and offer you a plan made to measure.

In your language

Medical consultations are held in Spanish and English. Our patient care team also supports you in French, German, Norwegian, Russian and Polish with any arrangement or question before and after your visit.

After the assessment

The findings are explained

The professional tells you what they have found and what still needs to be understood.

Priorities are set

What comes first, what can wait and what is not needed.

The team works together

If your case needs it, the professionals involved share information around one single plan.

The next steps are organised

I take care of coordinating appointments, tests and follow-ups so that you don't have to.

What I’d like you to know

  • If you don't know where to start, don't worry: we look at your case and guide you from the first contact.
  • Ask everything you need to. Answering your questions is an essential part of your care.
  • If something comes up, let us know. We will rearrange the appointment, no problem.
  • Please bear in mind that ETRYUM is a centre for assessment and planned treatment. If you have a medical emergency, call 112 directly.

An example to make it clearer

Illustrative case

Ingrid, 58

She has lived in l'Alfàs del Pi for years, speaks little Spanish and has been dealing with tiredness and joint discomfort for some time. She writes to us on WhatsApp in English, looking for guidance on which professional to see.

We guide her towards a first medical assessment and send her the preliminary questionnaires in English. We ask her to share her recent blood tests and her medication list in advance; that way, the doctor already knows her case before the appointment and has more time to explain each step to her in detail.

During her visit, the team supports her in Norwegian whenever she has a question or needs to express herself better in her own language. When she leaves, Ingrid has a clear explanation of her diagnosis, defined priorities and her next appointments organised.

What she valued most was not any particular test, but how close the professionals felt and the peace of mind of knowing that everything was perfectly organised.

To finish

The first visit sets the tone for everything that follows. We want you to arrive with your questions answered and to leave knowing what will happen next.

Listening to you. Guiding you. Preparing the visit with you. Supporting you in your language. And taking care of the next steps.

If you have any questions before booking, write to us. That’s what we’re here for.
